Dr. Danielle Guenet
Dr. Danielle Guenet was born and raised in Lloydminster, AB. She
decided optometry was the career for her when she received her first pair of contact lenses at age 11. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science with Distinction from the University of Alberta and a Doctorate of Optometry with Distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon.
Throughout her optometric education, Dr. Guenet was involved in
several leadership and services roles. She served as her Class Vice President and as the President of the Canadian Association of Optometry Students Club at Pacific. She participated in a vision service trip, providing eye care and glasses, to rural Northern Guatemala, and served as the main trip organizer of a vision service trip to Cambodia.
Dr. Guenet’s training in the U.S. allowed her to develop special
interests in specialty contact lenses and dry eye management. She spent time at the Gimbel Eye Centre in Edmonton, AB participating in co-management of surgical patients, the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Lexington, KY serving the veterans’ eye care needs and managing ocular disease, the Cheyenne Vision Clinic in Cheyenne, WY treating primary eye care and fitting contact lenses, and Pacific University’s many clinics in Oregon treating children’s visual function problems with vision therapy.
When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Guenet likes being outdoors with her dog, dancing, yoga, running, and making her own kombucha. She is still searching for a winter sport she enjoys to get her through Alberta winters.
Dr. Guenet enjoys bringing her passion for eye care to the patients of Lloydminster and the surrounding area. She is currently accepting new patients of all ages. Call us today to book your appointment!
